Sagar (sagarnews.com). The Smart City Advisory Committee has given in-principle approval for the construction of 12-storey Sagar Convention Center. This iconic building will be the tallest building not only in Sagar division but in the entire Bundelkhand region. It will have a total of 12 floors including two basements and a ground floor. It is one of the proposed projects under Smart City.
The 9th meeting of the Advisory Committee of Sagar Smart City on various issues related to the development of the city was held here on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Collector Deepak Singh.
It was informed in the meeting that another 7 story building including basement and ground floor would be constructed as citizen help centre, in which zone offices of various departments, general conference hall, departmental, commercial space etc. would be prepared and council hall etc. will also be constructed.
Regarding Citizen Help Center MP Raj Bahadur Singh said that apart from doing all the necessary work (Ayushman Card, Aadhar Card, Bank Kiosk etc), zone offices of other government departments should also come up here. Arrangements should be made for waiting hall etc for the meeting of common people. Singh Said, Along with this, prepare a plan to develop other markets like Sabulal Market, Nigam Market, Bakshikhana in Katra, the main area of the city.

About ongoing and proposed projects, MLA Shailendra Jain has said that the work of lighting and musical show based on the history of Bundelkhand is being done in Atal Park, including the old history of Sagar, from the past to present of Sagar, should also be presented. He said, work on different themes so that different presentations can be given on festivals etc. Jain insisted that Chameli Chowk Hospital should also be taken under the Heritage Conservation Project. He said that sound systems should also be installed in various Muktidhams for Shanti recitation and other chanting. Also prepare a plan for the redevelopment of cemeteries and such places meant for the Christian community. Other facilities like restaurant, toilets, open gym should also be developed in the city forest.
Collector and Smart City President Deepak Singh said that Sagar’s vision of a smart city would be fulfilled only after the completion of other important projects like construction of Sagar Convention Center, the tallest green building in the division. The priority of Sagar Smart City is to provide better and orderly infrastructure with special facilities to the citizens.
Along with this, Elevated Corridor, Smart Road, Integrated Bus Terminal, Ground Mold Solar System, Development for Integrated Office in Tehsil area and Development works in Kent area and Makronia under Smart City Pan area etc were also discussed in detail at necessary places in the city .
In the meeting, Municipal Commissioner cum Executive Director RP Ahirwar, Smart City CEO Rahul Singh Rajput, social worker Meena Pimplepure (video conference), Devesh Garg, Engg. Prakash Choubey, Raju Tiwari, Neha Jain, Smart City CS Rajat Gupta, Assistant Planner Praveen Chaurasia, Yogesh (Video Conference) from PMC and team leader Sanjay Kedia and other officials attended.
Other decisions taken in the meeting
– The building should be constructed under the DPR presentation presented for the Sagar Convention Center.
– IT based smart Anganwadis should be constructed in the respective localities or villages only.
– Under the Heritage Conservation Project, AIS State Museum, Chhatris near Padmakar School, Chameli Chowk Hospital and other historical buildings should be developed.
– A glass bridge connecting Atal Park to Sanjay Drive Road should be prepared.
– Beautiful lighting and sound systems should also be installed and prepared from the point of view of tourism.
Along with dynamic lighting and sound shows, meeting arrangements should also be made.
Like Narayavali Naka Muktidham, other Muktidhams of the city should also be developed.
